Who We Are

The desire of any Christian who has a heart toward God should be that the will of God
would be accomplished in their life. So it is with us at Grace Fellowship of Georgetown. We
believe that God reveals His will for the last day church in Habukkuk 2:14; "The earth shall
be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea". The word
"glory" refers to the image, esteem, or honor of an individual. 1 John 4:8 declares that "God
is love". From these 2 scriptures Pastor Jack Shoup, the senior Pastor here at Grace
Fellowship, has become convinced that the Glory of God is the Love of God in such
concentration that it becomes tangible, dominating the surrounding environment.

We believe that Jesus was not lying when He stated that we would do greater works than
Him (John 4:12), that signs and wonders should accompany the preached Word (Mark
16:20), and that given the opportunity, the Word of God will make you an overcomer (1
John 5:4). Jesus is coming back soon but not for a defeated church barely holding on. We
believe He is coming back for a glorified church walking triumphantly in every circumstance.
Pastor Jack is determined to do whatever God directs to see His Glory released in
Georgetown. So here at Grace Fellowship, you will learn how to live a victorious life by
faith in God's Word; a life that leads to the development of a true love walk that results in
the manifestation of the Glory of God.

Our goal in Georgetown is not to build another church on another street corner. It is to bring
the Word of God, through solid biblical teaching, to those hungry for God and who desire
to see the will of God accomplished in their lives. In the old testament, God poured out His
Glory upon Moses' tabernacle so that "Moses was not able to enter". He again poured out
His Glory upon Solomon's temple so that "the priests could not stand to minister". How
much more will God pour out His Glory upon His church once it is perfected by His Word?
